I bought a 2014 Volvo XC60 from Paul and the whole experience was great. The car was generally in great shape and Paul did tell me about an oil leak from the underbody which we both though was a minor seal change job. The purchase process was totally hassle free. Immediately after purchase, I gave the car for service and the oil leak, unfortunately, turned out to be a relatively major issue with the transmission and was a high repair cost. Paul called me and enquired about the service after couple of days and I explained about the issue. To my surprise he willingly offered to pay back almost half of the bill, which he transferred after couple of days. This kind of service I have never experienced in my last 20 years in Dubai. I told them that I was looking for a second-hand Pajero, as I was disposing of my 21 year old Pajero. Everything was done very professionally. We only had to see 2 cars before we found what I needed. As a second key was missing, Jacques retained some cash until the key was handed over to him, as I was leaving for Europe.

Being very new to Dubai I did not feel comfortable trying to buy a second hand car on my own. I heard of Paul from a colleague at work. Paul has been unreal in terms of contactability and support throughout the process from start to finish. He basically protected me from a lot of the red tape and frustration that goes with car trading here. I actually bought two cars with him in the end. Here's an example of how he went above and beyond for me: when I picked up one of the cars, it was empty of fuel. I stupidly filled the car beyond the amount of cash I had in my wallet. The petrol station only let me leave if I gave them my Emirates ID card. Two days later Paul dropped it off in person at my place of work! Paul took all the stress out of selling my car. He advertised it and screened the people who responded to make sure that all were serious buyers. Managing all the appointments really saved me time. He also helped me with the official paperwork and took care of the transfer.  Throughout the whole process all I did was show up to sign a paper and collect the payment from the buyer. My car broke down and they recovered it the same day, which already put them ahead of most garages. A few days later it was delivered back to me fully repaired.

They were far cheaper than every other quote I got in Dubai, and the work wasn’t rushed or cut back. On top of the booked repairs, they inadvertently fixed a long-standing shuddering issue that several other garages had failed to diagnose over the years. The problem is now completely gone.

Communication was clear, timelines were realistic, and the invoice was detailed with no surprises.

This is one of the few garages I’ve dealt with here that actually fixes problems properly instead of guessing. I’d use them again without hesitation
